The Red Carpet

This weekend Hollywood celebrated the annual Emmy-awards (TV world Oscars). I always think that it is so inspiring to follow on the red carpet. This year, as always, with glamorous and glitzy dresses.

The year's biggest Emmy- fashion hit was the yellow dress, but also the cool colours such as gray and ice blue was shown in many beautiful dresses.

More fashion week – Tommy Hilfiger

One of the classic shows at New York fashion week is the Hilfiger show. Here it was the all-American Dream. The nautical collection was full of classic sportswear-inspired pieces reworked in unexpected ways. The look is preppy nautical and silhouettes are easy and oversized for a relaxed feel. I especially love the oversize silhouettes and the playful use of stripes.

One of the things I always wait anxiously on is the new designer collections; it is so inspiring to see the bubbling creativity. Right now New York Fashion week is is ongoing and yesterday Marc By Marc Jacobs showed his ideas for summer of 2013.

Marc Jacobs looked to the early 80s to define the multi-layered flirty silhouettes of his marc diffusion collection. The result - all clashing checks and pattern mixes – referenced the musical references of the day when Bananarama and Culture Club. It looks like we will be seeing a lot of neon for next summer…

Getting ready for fall, I'm getting out my chunky sweaters and update with a few new scarves and tubes in seasonal colours. I love knit and especially my beautiful knit jackets.

Inspiration can come from many places, just look at these beautiful floors and be inspired ... I think I will draw some graphic all over prints with them as inspiration!
