Style update the knitted coat

The double-breasted coat continues to be a key statement knit. Tailored influences emerge for a masculine look with notched collars and revers. Enlarge the silhouette by using oversized collars and turned-up cuffs, while lengths are below the knee. For a retro look, exaggerate the shoulders and extend the hem to the ankle. A super cool look with your slim jeans.

Accessories of the day; Ligia Dias

I love the Swiss designer Ligia Dias' jewelry. She has worked for Alber Elbaz at Lanvin, but chose to go solo six years ago.
Ligia Dias' style is in many ways' nouvelle parisienne ': both elegant and edgy, typically using black fabric, beads and chains or other metal details, and is therefore the perfect link in a wardrobe that would like to be both classic and raw. Love it ... maybe the perfect Christmas gift.

Cool new Nordic online magazine

Like most of you, I love to keep updated with the fashion world and read fashion magazines, so I was super happy yesterday when I discovered the new online magazine Nordic Style Magazine.
It was launched in early December and has dedicated its focus to Scandinavian fashion and design. The magazine wants to bring Nordic fashion and design closer to the rest of the world and can only be read online.
Most of the team behind the new magazine is in New York City, but all the staff originates from countries in the north. The two main people behind, Editor Soffía Theodora Tryggvadóttir and creative director Bjarni Ingimar Juliusson, is originally from Iceland.
You can read it here; www.nordicstylemag.com/
I'm already looking forward to the next edition.

New shops in London

I was just about to update my London Guide/scrapbook, and I have found 2 exciting new shops, I just have to share with you;
First of all the cool American Opening Ceremony is opening their first outpost in London, The spacious shop floor stocks Opening Ceremony brands from around the world. Cult U.S. favourites like Patrik Ervell, Proenza Schouler, and Opening Ceremony's own men's and women's lines its side-by-side next to British labels as well as brands from Korea, OC's featured country of  2012. The shop is located in beautiful Covent Garden; 35 King Street

Also Dutch Scotch & Soda finally opens the doors to their very first London stores. That's right, multiple stores.
On the lovely Westbourne Grove shopping street in Notting Hill, they have opened a Maison Scotch and a Scotch & Soda. You can find Maison Scotch at number 170 and shop for their men's gear right across the street to 181st

I'm already looking forward to visiting both on my next inspirational trip to London.

DIY Bead Collar

I've previously written about the small collars that you can update your outfit with. Now, as we approach Christmas the small bead collars is very present in the fashion picture... therefore I feel like making a little DIY project.
I took one of my favorite worn denim shirts and a lot of beads.
A little glitter and beads gives a nice feminine update to the casual shirt.

'Fade to W'

Weekdays new brand 'Fade to W' lands in stores this Saturday. The new brand is built on guest designers, and twice a year will be presented a new collection with a new designer in charge. Stine Goya is behind the first collection, which among other things features sharp cuts, prints, lace and pastel colours.

The collection is available in Weekday stores from Saturday and I can’t wait to get a closer look at the delicate styles.
